Goede service, fiets gelijk gerepareerd.

Ik heb een 18 jaar oude fiets laten opknappen (enkele nieuwe onderdelen en wat accessoires vervangen) en ben tot twee keer toe heel snel en kundig geholpen (door Daan). De prijs was ook uiterst redelijk. Ik ga zeker terug met mijn toekomstige fietswensen.

Walked in on a Saturday without appointment looking to get footrests for an e-bike brand they don’t carry. It took quite some puzzling and perseverance, but he managed to find and cut the right bolt for a solid mount. Chatted a bit meanwhile and learned a ton about the use and maintenance of my bike.

Roamed the store a bit and saw plenty of choice in bikes, steps, helmets and other gear.

Very likely we’ll visit again!

* aanvulling: Fijn dat jullie meteen na mijn bericht contact hebben opgenomen en het opgelost hebben. We zijn blij met de nieuwe step. Yedoo heeft gelukkig ook een aanpassing aan het voetenboard gedaan, dat is een stuk steviger. Bedankt!

Op 1 december 2020 heb ik een Yedoo city step gekocht en met een dag gebruik was het voetenboard al gebarsten. Ik heb toen direct contact met jullie opgenomen en fotos gestuurd. We zijn nu twee maanden verder heb ik 5 keer contact met jullie opgenomen, beloven jullie dat je het gaat uitzoeken maar ik hoor maar niets van jullie terug. Service? Garantie? Dat hebben jullie niet helemaal begrepen. Je hebt mijn gegevens, los het op!

Friendly and helpful service, just popped in for a really small item, but the guy came out and helped fix it to my bike.

We are an expat couple living on and off Amsterdam for the past year. We were recommended by a colleague to resort to Free Wheely for all our bike-related needs when in Amsterdam. And, certainly, they proved out to be worth every praise. Not only did we find suitable bikes for our family paired with top-notch service, but we were assisted every step of the way with every issue we encountered with our bikes in a prompt manner.

As a cherry on top, when heading abroad we were assisted to get our bikes to the airport and Vincent at Free Wheely even took part of our luggage to the airport. This made otherwise stressful travel with small children all that much better. Five out of five and then some more for this wonderful bike shop in Zuid.

Bij de aanschaf van een elektrische fiets ben ik heel goed geadviseerd door Daan. Hij had antwoord op al mijn vragen en zo heb ik een goede keuze kunnen maken. Ik kreeg ook rustig de tijd om na te denken en in de tussentijd heeft Daan de fiets voor mij gereserveerd. Ben blij met mijn nieuwe Trek!

I got the tire to be replaced with a new one a months ago plus just tying the led on bike and I was charged 55.80 Euros .
Yesterday , my friend got the same problem with his bike fixed it for 23 euros. I don't understand the price. Is the tire for racing or something!!
Besides yesterday the lamp was broken from the place they fixed it.
I just don't understand this much difference in price?

Ondanks dat de winkel eigenlijk dicht was toch direct geholpen met een kapotte ketting. Vakkundig, eerlijk, sympathiek en een redder in nood. ;-)

I bought a second hand cargo bike off of marktplaats and brought it to these guys to add an electrical and battery system. Vincent installed a pentax system for me and now I get to zip around with twins, groceries and so much gear for half the price of a new fancy cargo bike. I'm very happy with the service and with these guys in general - they are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Nadat ik een paar dagen als een soort propje heb rondgereden op een veel te laag afgestelde tweedehands fiets die ik online besteld had, besloot ik toch maar eens om hulp te vragen. Bij Free Wheely werd ik door Raphael meteen heel vriendelijk geholpen, en binnen een paar minuten stond zowel mijn stuur als zadel helemaal perfect afgesteld. En dat helemaal gratis, ontzettend attent! De sfeer in de zaak en de werkplaats was tevens heel gemoedelijk en gezellig. Nogmaals bedankt, hij fietst nu als een wolkje!

Great shop, friendly staff, competitive prices. I decided to buy an urban arrow bike from freewheely and it turned out to be a great decision. I have had a couple of problems with the bosch battery supplied with the bike. Obviously the issue is nothing to do with the shop. However the staff at Freewheely have now helped me twice claim on the warranty. Amazing service and I wouldn't now buy a bike from anyone else.

Heel goede service. Mijn fiets (Brik) had gebroken belt. Er bleek een terugroep actie geweest te zijn die ik had gemist. Ondanks dat de termijn verlopen was van deze actie heeft Free Wheely mijn fiets opgehaald uit Haarlem, gerepareerd in Amsterdam en terug gebracht naar Haarlem. Zeer tevreden!

Vanmiddag snel en gratis geholpen met mijn slot. Van harte aanbevolen!

Vandaag onze Urban Arrow opgehaald die snel geleverd kon worden. Super vriendelijk geholpen, bij de bestelling overigens ook al, en op de hoogte gebracht van alle functies. Deze winkel kan ik iedereen aanbevelen! En voor de eigenaar, Maud is een topper!

My chain has been loose for a while. By accident came by this place and thought let me just walk in and ask if they can fasten it for me. It was fixed within less than 5 min for a very fair price of €12,50 (way cheaper than all other bike shops I have asked). Great service, highly recommend!

I came in after the seat snapped off my bike. They fixed it up in just about ten minutes and for a fair price. Very happy with the service!

Mir wurde schnell geholfen,weil wir auf einer Radtour von Hotel zu Hotel unterwegs waren.Trotz der vielen Reparaturaufträge ,die das Geschäft ,bearbeiten mußte ,hat man für meine Situation Verständnis gehabt und wir konnten mit einem erneuerten Schlauch für mein Rad,nach 15 Minuten,die Tour fortsetzen.Das Geschäft ist sehr zu emfehlen.

Super snelle en vriendelijke service. Voor een klein euvel gebeld, kon gelijk langskomen en met een half uur was ik weer thuis met een gerepareerde fiets, waarvan 25 minuten reistijd. Echt een aanrader!

Had een probleem met mijn werkfiets. Mocht de volgende werkdag langs komen wanneer het mij uitkwam en ik werd meteen geholpen! Mijn fiets werd ter plekke gerepareerd! Was zo blij! Scheelde me weer een hoop buskosten! Super service!

Fantastische winkel! Allemaal super aardige mensen die hier werken, nooit een vraag teveel en bij verkoop een service die je echt niet meer vaak krijgt. Helemaal blij met onze nieuwe elektrische bakfiets. Toppers zijn jullie!

Als je met een euvel ter reparatie aankomt, is het standaard antwoord bij elke fietswinkel in Amsterdam “u kunt een afspraak inplannen voor over twee weken”. Hoe dan? Met een kapotte stadsfiets waar elke ochtend twee kinderen mee naar school worden gebracht in een voor auto’s verder compleet verstopte stad zo rond 08:15 uur ‘s ochtends. Free Wheely is wel gevoelig voor zulke kleine drama’s en plannen de reparatie toch vandaag of morgen er tussenin. Helden dus. Vandaag bij het ophalen direct een onderhoudsbeurt voor de fiets ingepland. Kom graag bij ze terug.

Keurige zaak, nemen de tijd voor je ondanks drukte. Had voorremmen nodig voor Babboe bakfiets die nergens te vinden waren maar na 30min speurwerk door Vincent toch gevonden! Erg fijn nu de bakfiets remt met kroost erin!

Vanmorgen had ik een lekke band. Ik belde of mijn fiets gemaakt kon worden. Het was erg druk maar ik gaf aan mijn fiets maandag nodig te hebben voor mijn werk als verpleegkundige. Twee uurtjes later was mijn fiets al klaar. Ik dankte hun hartelijk voor de snelle hulp. Ik kreeg als antwoord vanwege je werk als verpleegkundige in de wijk hebben we snel je fiets gemaakt. Ik ben SUPERblij met Free Wheely Amsterdam! Hun service is echt buitengewoon goed: je wordt zeer vriendelijk geholpen, zowel aan de telefoon als face-to-face. Had een probleem met mijn e-bike en zij hebben mij supersnel en geweldig geholpen! Ze zijn ook erg goed in het adviseren van de juiste aankoop :-) Naast repareren doen ze ook ongevraagd wat extra's zoals mooi oppoetsen als onderdeel van hun service. I visited the bicycle shop today as my chain was broken and needed it fixed today. As it was urgent and could not wait until a technician would fix it they provided me the all the tools and helped me even fix it. I was very impressed that the shop assistant got her hands dirty too and even spend time to fix other parts of my bicycle. I strongly recommend the shop as super friendly and helpful. 5 stars for me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heel blij met de echte service van Freewheely! Vakbekwaam personeel, denken met je mee en denken in oplossingen. Hier is mijn oude Gazelle (bouwjaar 1975) wel welkom voor reparatie. Warm aanbevolen!

Uitstekende eerste service beurt. Netjes bij de aanschafprijs inbegrepen overigens. Gratis een leenfiets mee. Niets dan lof!

They repaired my wheel in 4 days, (flat wheel) i changed everything, internal and external rubber, more than 40 euros for the work, now after less than two weeks i'm in the same situation with flat wheel. I didn't catch any glass or metal on the floor. I wasted my money. The Decathlon tire is still perfectly working after 6 months, i've never had problems with it. Go there if you want to waste your money for a long and inefficient repair.

Needed a thorough check and fix on my beloved ultra-rugged special bike and they took it as serious as it needed to be. Very happy with the service

needed to get a tire replaced. The price ranged from 25 to 40 based on the strength of the tire. I went for a middle one (30€), for a price which I already found insane for a tire. But I needed it ASAP so I agreed to it. When I went to pick it up I was charged 52 euros. 22 euros extra “for the labour” (changing a tire), which I wasn’t told I was going to have to pay when I agreed to have the job done. Honestly felt like I was scammed. Never gonna go back and I don’t recommend you to go there ever.

Amazing service. I brought my wife's bike after a small accident. It took one day to fix everything and the cost was reasonable.

Always top service, very friendly and good quality repairs

I found this shop randomly. I was looking for a shop where I could fix my racebike’s stuck front derailleur or buy a new one. They not only managed to fix my problem in less than 10 minutes (I was for an hour trying to clean it up), but also did it for FREE. My bike is good as new again! 100% recommended bike shop if you live in Uilenstede or nearby and need a new bike or a repairing!

DON'T go to this shop if you are an expat and / or doesn't speak Dutch. They'll try to rip you off for basic service bike repairs. Basically what's the point of having a bike repair store in the neighbourhood if they're not going to fix your problem in a timely manner before you go off to work or university???

I went there twice since I live close-by and had minor bike issues like a flat tyre on the first time, and the second time for my chain that fell off. These things don't take much time and are usually cheap. They always tried to rip me off with the prices and could never solve my problems fast. They always told me “it would take 1 or 2 days to be fixed” since they have a busy schedule. Luckily I never used their services.

If you live in this area DON'T GO THERE, try the one at the Vrije University 'Clover Two-wheelers' or 'Klaver Tweewielers' (in Dutch) or the Parnassus Cycling bike shop. They have quick service and don't try to overcharge you for simple things.

Free Wheely Amsterdam caters to Dutch people who don't care how much they're charged and to expats who have nowhere else to go to and are victims of overpriced services in the Netherlands, which happens a lot unfortunately.

I got my bike repaired

Just bought a bakfiets here. I came three weeks ago and they took plenty of time to describe the bike and discuss options on the new bike, and let me have a test ride on one in stock.

The bike came quickly (3 weeks) and when i collected it they gave further advice about things such as locks and such. It felt strange that they didn't take the time to set the bike up to fit my height etc, but then I didn't ask for it either and it was easy to do when I got home.

A nice shop with lots of options and friendly staff, I'm glad to have found it.

They also did pay attention to details and changes I asked for my bakfiets. Delivery was really reliable. The bakfiets arrived safely and very well packaged in Germany. Expensive, not on time and unfriendly service.

Wat een helden! Van mijn oude stadsfiets was de zadelpen naar beneden gezakt, waardoor mijn zadel er uiteindelijk afviel. Verder niets gebroken en ik had het zadel nog. Voor mijn neus in 2 minuten heeft een van de medewerkers mijn zadel weer goed vast gezet. Het was ook niet meer dan een bout los en vast draaien, maar dat maakt het gebaar er niet minder om. En hij wilde er ook nog eens niets voor hebben! Dankjewel, helemaal top!

Great service. I bought a bakfiets, and was very impressed from the service and patience of the guy who helped me (Denis). I really asked a lot of questions, took a lot of his time and still got his full attention. I decided to buy the bakfiets there because of the service (amongst other things). After I bought the bike I still had some questions, and he still was very patient with me.

Great service. Fixed gear issues. Replaced tyre, asked which tyre I wanted. Fixed both lights, even replacing one of them. Very reasonable cost. Better than Het Zwarte Fietsenplan where the previous service cost more and left the gears not working very well. Definitely recommended based on this one service.

Belofte op de site binnen 2 weken rijklaar thuis afgeleverd kunnen ze niet Garanderen. Sterker nog het is een marketing trucje en zij praten stiekem over 14 werkdagen... wel goede bereikbaarheid en reacties op contactmomenten en vriendelijk.
